Apprenticeship Opportunities

WV Union Electricians - Wheeling JATC

We recruit and train apprentices to become journeymen electricians.  Our apprentices work on power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, data systems and much more.

During their apprenticeship, our students gain 8000 hours of on the job training, and go to school 180 hours per year.  It is a five year program.

Time(s) of Application:         8-11:30 a.m. & 1-3:30 p.m.

Minimum requirements for application

Age and Education:              Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
                                                to apply.

Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED to apply.

Terms of Residence:            Must be a resident of our Jurisdiction

Other Requirements:            Must have a full credit in Algebra, provide transcripts, and pass an aptitude test, and drug screen.

 Must be physically able to perform the work. There is a $20.00 application fee.

Process of Selection for Electricians - Wheeling JATC:

            All applicants meeting above requirements will receive an interview, and be ranked on a 2 year hiring list.
